What We Do
Ampheros Media is an organization made up of international Gen Z students who provide journalistic accounts of Gen Z’s coming impacts in the following decades. The Ampheros Journalism site, Ampheros Podcasting, and Ampheros YouTube channel are all extensions of the organization. Ampheros has partnered with other Gen Z initiatives like Admissions Uncovered to provide a voice to emerging voices on global geopolitics and culture – including students from every corner of the world.
We don’t limit our definition of minorities to race. A minority is any group not in the majority, but with an important opinion nonetheless. We believe that this is imperative to avoiding the problems that many democracies today face with populism and misinformation, even if the subject matter is already widely established.
Ampheros works with a number of Gen Z students hailing from the US, Mexico, Russia, India, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, and other countries at the forefront of globalization and news reports. While Ampheros isn’t a funded news organization, it is one based on volunteer and commitment among various students around the globe. Students collaborate to create objective and forward-thinking perspectives unaffected by double-speak or Western biases. We welcome any students interested in presenting their opinion in the media, furthering their journalism career, or simply exploring career choices. We also welcome any grassroots and informal student organizations to become affiliated and collaborate with us, whether they aim to raise money for homeless shelters, raise aid for developing countries, or educate the underprivileged. We promote for the new generation to understand the news in their own way, presenting the facts and leaving judgement only to them.
Society today continues to magnify. Ocean levels keep rising. Oil and natural gases are set to run out within our lifetimes. Democracy shows flaws. The 4th Industrial Revolution. Human interaction in the digital era. These problems afflict Gen Z, and Gen Z will be the ones to recognize how to deal with these problems.
