Hello, my name is Kavin Shah, and I am going to be a sophomore in high school. I am interested in economics and finance. I am a part of a couple organizations that help to promote financial literacy amongst the youth. I have seen many individuals who struggle with being financially stable, so it feels great to give them advice for them to be in a better place.
I am very involved in a few clubs at my school. I am a part of Speech and Debate and compete in JV Extemporaneous speaking. In this event, students are given 30 minutes to prepare a seven-minute speech on a current event topic. I also am Vice President of our school’s Key Club, which is a service organization that gives back through various organizations. Lastly, I am part of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) where I hold an officer position in one of the projects created by them. I also compete for the travel team.
In my free time, I like to read articles and watch videos on current events that are going around the world. I feel like it is extremely important to stay updated on what’s happening in the world to be a global citizen. I am also an avid trader in the stock market where I use fundamental and technical analysis to choose the best stocks. I also love to play basketball, hang out with my friends, and play the electric guitar. Ampheros Media has given me an opportunity to express my voice about issues that I care about.
